Chinese Cupping

Cupping is a very old form of treatment and versions of it can be found in ancient cultures all over the world. It’s benefits are to soothe and relax muscles and help with removing lactic acid, it increases the blood supply to the area and can help with healing of soft tissue injuries. It can also help to shift phlegm in chest infections. The treatments last under ten minutes and a circular mark can remain on the back for up to 10 days. There is no soreness on these marks. Many athletes use cupping to recover faster from training or injuries, most famous of which was Michael Phelps at the Rio Olympics in 2016
